Scholars! Your homework this weekend is to begin working on your mini-project which we began in class today. You chose to do either a poster describing how you have been socialized according to one of your identities, or a powerpoint describing how three internet ads socialize their audience. You can find the handouts describing those options on the class handouts page under "9/30", both pages are on the link if you scroll down.
DUE Dates: Your roughdraft for your option of this project is due by the end of class on Tuesday. You will have half of the class period Tuesday to work on it, but you should spend some time over this weekend getting a good start. Your FINAL DRAFT is due Wednesday first thing. I will randomly ask three students to present to the class, so be prepared.
Tip: Here is an awesome link to a sociology blog. It is a good additional resource if you want to learn more about sociology as a discipline that affects all areas of our lives.

Review: Today we
--had a talk from Rachael Sands about college advising,
--took a quiz on the Socialization lecture
--Reviewed the Learning Goals sheet, heard example of how Matt was socialized as a male and walked through the Cycle of Socialization progression
--Did a starter exploring if we were Agents or Targets according to our seven social identities
--Began working on our projects.
Happy Labor Day! Don't forget, we don't have school on Monday.
