Humanities Scholars,
We are off to a great start! We've had lots of energy, thoughtfulness, and participation these first few days. Your homework for Monday August 26th is to complete your Manifesto about Beautiful Work. This is a paragraph in which you explain why Beautiful Work is important in your education at Animas and why it is relevant to the rest of your life. You received a handout describing the assignment in class, and a copy is posted as "Beautiful Work Manifesto Assignment" under our class handouts page. Check it to make sure you follow all the directions. For this and all other homework, please print out or handwrite your homework and physically bring it to class, unless otherwise specified. Do not email it unless asked. Thanks!
In case you want to review what we did today (Friday) we:
1. Did a rough draft of our learning style poster
2. Did our first peer-graded seminar of the year (yes!), discussing the Beautiful Work reading
3. Worked on our final drafts of our learning style poster.
On Monday, we will finish our posters, discuss our homework assignment, and then begin our first major unit of the year, called "Socialization and Identity". You will learn more about this project on Monday.
Have a great weekend! ~Matt
