Welcome!

Welcome to 9th Grade Humanities at Animas High School!  On our first day of class, you will be completing a list of activities and tasks to orient you to the nuts and bolts of how our classroom operates.  Below I have listed an initial outline of how that first day will look.
Please also take look at the syllabus (listed above in the navigation bar).  Any handouts you receive in class will also be posted on this website under the "class handouts" bar, and all homework assignments will be posted in the form below, daily.

A fundamental expectation of this class is that you (the student) advocate for your needs.  Please see me in person or send me an email if anything on this website is unclear.

What we will do on our first day of class:

--Seating arrangements (organize yourselves in order of birthdays)
--Class Activities list.  This will take up most of our class time.  You will complete a checklist of activities, from giving me your email address to creating a system of turning in and receiving homework, to learning more about your classmates.
--Close with game.

Homework to be completed and turned by 8/22/13:

1. Read the syllabus with your parents/guardians.  Have both student and parents/guardians sign and date the last page.  List any extra information you would like to me know at the bottom of the last page.  Turn in the last page with the signatures in class tomorrow.

2.  Complete the Multiple Intelligences test and score it using the directions at the bottom of the sheet.  Bring a hard copy to class tomorrow.
